Agona is the struggle to gain ascendance in your physical and metaphysical pursuit, and in this architectural
intervention we see it as the heading that binds sporting and artistic performance.

Sport and art, are worlds that are not often thought of in the same frame, and yet they have in common the pursuit of an impossible quest. All people who perform – artists, performers and athletes – have a way of organising their mental focus and physical energy that sharpens and uplifts their actions.

Through this installation the public will be invited to experience the struggle, elation and also note the peculiar
feeling of melancholy – the tingling urge to strive again, even in the moment after victory.
